Shin Shin School #9005 in Shannxi

The Zhongxun Elementary school is located in Weinan city. This school has 680 students, 50 teachers with 12 classes from grade 1 to 6.

Shin Shin Foundation has provided library related equipment: book cabinets, PCs, printers, desks, chairs and 2,000 books to this school. Using the equipment and books, the school created the “reading corners” in classrooms which allow the students to easily access the books. This is exactly what Shin Shin envisioned “reading corners” in action.

In order to encourage student’s reading practice, the school implements “book reading” classes from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm three days (Tues/Wed/Thur) a week, also allows students to check out books and take them home during weekends. They are fully taking good advantage of Shin Shin literacy program.
